St. John Fisher University Athletics

Anthony Brophy (Saint Joseph’s Collegiate/North Tonawanda) of the St. John Fisher College baseball team has been named the college’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 25th, 2018.

The sophomore earned his first win of the 2018 campaign after throwing a complete game shutout in the first of two games on Sunday at Elmira College.

Brophy went 7.0 total innings and gave up just five hits to go with six strikeouts on the day. The North Tonawanda native did not give up a single walk in the contest.

The Cardinals will close out the three-game series with the Soaring Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Dunn Field in Elmira.
