Sydney Masna of the women’s basketball team has been named the St. John Fisher College Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 7th, 2018.

The freshman helped the Cardinals to a 3-0 week, while earning two conference victories with wins over Utica College, Elmira College and Keuka College.

The Hebron, Connecticut native scored in double digits in all three contests, including a career-high 14 total points in the team’s 73-67 defeat of Elmira. Masna also added 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the Cardinal’s trounce of Keuka, 53-39. Masna finished the week shooting 14-27 from the field.

Fisher improves to 7-4 overall, while moving to 2-0 in the conference standings. The team returns to conference play at 8 p.m. on Friday as the team plays host to Houghton College.
