Mark VanMarter of the men’s track and field team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 10th, 2017.

VanMarter and the Cardinals competed in the Houghton December Classic on Friday, hosted at the Kerr-Pegula Field House.

The Liverpool native highlighted the field events for Fisher over the weekend. VanMarter took first place in the long jump event, with a best jump of 7.17 meters. This distance marked VanMarter as third overall nationally in the event.

VanMarter also took first place in the triple jump event with a distance of 13.30 meters.

Fisher track and field takes a break, returning to action on Friday, January 12th competing in the Spartan Invite hosted in Ocean Breeze, New York.
