St. John Fisher University Athletics

Hannah Buschner of the St. John Fisher College women’s soccer team was named the college’s Female Athlete of the Week after recording two goals and a single assist on the week.

On Thursday, Buschner tallied the assist on the lone goal in Fisher’s 2-1 loss to the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers.

Buschner also scored two of the five total goals scored in Fisher’s shutout of Morrisville State College on Saturday. She netted the second goal of the game on a rebounded shot attempt from Elise Olivo. Buschner then scored the fifth and final goal of the game, after shaking the Morrisville defenders and going one on one with the goalkeeper, eventually finding the back of the net.

The women’s soccer team returns to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at home against the Blue Devils of SUNY Fredonia.
