St. John Fisher College’s Katie Mazierski of the women’s volleyball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the week ending September 3rd, 2017.
The Cardinal’s finished the weekend 3-1 overall at the North Country Invite hosted by St. Lawrence University, with wins over SUNY Poly, Buffalo State, and Cazenovia College.
Mazierski posted 32 kills (.231 hitting percentage), 24 digs, and nine aces throughout the weekend.
The senior’s best matches came against both Cazenovia and St. Lawrence, where she notched nine kills and seven digs, while posting four aces against the Wildcats.
The women’s volleyball team is back in action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday for its first home match of the 2017 season, as it hosts D'Youville College inside Manning & Napier Varsity Gymnasium.
