Keegan Ryan (Beekmantown/Plattsburgh) of the St. John Fisher College men’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that concluded February 5, 2017.

Ryan averaged 22.0 points and 9.0 rebounds as the Cardinals picked up two more win in Empire 8 play to remain in first place in the conference standings. 

The senior forward posted 20 points and eight rebounds while shooting 10-of-14 from the free throw line in a 70-59 road win over Elmira before closing out the week with his 38th career double-double in a 24-point, 10-rebound performance against Utica. 

Ryan currently ranks fourth in the Empire 8 in scoring at 17.9 points per game and is third in rebounding at 8.7 boards per contest.

Ryan and the rest of the men’s basketball team will return to action at 8 p.m. on Tuesday when they face Alfred University on Bobby Wanzer Court in Manning and Napier Varsity Gym.
