St. John Fisher College’s Anna Marcy (Penfield/Rochester) of the volleyball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending September 7th, 2015.
Over the course of the week the outside hitter recorded a team-high 48 kills along with 41 digs, and is tied for first on the team in blocks with five. The sophomore helped lead the team to a successful 4-1 record on the week.
Marcy’s best performance of the week came in a 3-1 victory over the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg at the Morrisville State Tournament on Saturday, as the Penfield native tallied a career-high 17 kills, leading the Cardinals in kills, while adding 16 digs. On Sunday, she notched 11 kills and six digs in a 3-0 victory against host Morrisville.
Fisher returns to action at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when the Cardinals host Oswego State.
