Dan Vaulman of the men’s basketball has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on December 19^th, 2016.

Vaulman notched a career-high nine points against SUNY Cortland on Saturday, almost prompting a comeback against the Red Dragons.

As time was waning in the second half of the basketball game, Coach Rob Kornaker turned to his veteran guard to try and even things up. Vaulman came in and immediately made an impact as he hit three three’s in a row to cut Cortland’s lead down to four. After his third made three, the gritty senior showed his defensive skills as he stole the ball, diving head first to collect and finish the steal.

???????Vaulman and the rest of the men’s basketball team will pick up action again at 8 p.m. on December 29th as the squad hosts Colby Sawyer College in the second game of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament.
