St. John Fisher College’s Sierra Badger of the women’s lacrosse team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending April 3rd, 2016.
Badger led the nationally-ranked Cardinals to a 2-1 week while also making a bit of individual Fisher history at the end of the week. The senior totaled five goals and three assists on the week including a one goal and one assist performance in an 8-2 road win over Utica on Saturday.
She followed that up on Sunday by scoring a game-high four goals and adding an assist in a dominant 15-4 Cardinals victory at Hartwick. Badger’s last goal of the game marked her 100th career goal at Fisher, making her just the 12th player in the program’s 17-year history to hit that mark.
After last week, the Cardinals now stand at 9-1 overall and 3-0 in Empire 8 games on the season. They will return to action at 5 p.m. on Thursday when they take on host Fredonia.
