St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Elizabeth Cusack of the field hockey team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending October 18^th, 2015.

Cusack led Fisher to its 2-0 record on the week against opponents Keuka College and Elmira College. In an 8-0 victory at Keuka she assisted Lauren Fazio just four minutes into the match and would record her eighth goal just one minute later.

On Saturday, Fisher sailed to victory on the road once again blanking Elmira 4-0. Cusack assisted the first two goals of the game, finding Emily Markarian in the 15^th and 44^th minutes. The senior would go on to notch a goal of her own in the 67^th minute.

After her performances this week she now has nine goals on the season, good for second on the team and seventh overall in the Empire 8 Conference.

Fisher returns to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday when it hosts Nazareth College for an Empire 8 matchup.
