St. John Fisher University Athletics

PITTSFORD, N.Y., April 13, 2015 – St. John Fisher College’s Mike Roman (Spencerport/Rochester) of the baseball team has been named as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 12, 2015.

Roman led Fisher with nine RBI and seven runs in a 4-0 week for the Cardinals. The junior shortstop finished the week with a .462 batting average and a team-high 1.077 slugging percentage. The junior shortstop also had seven putouts and 16 assists.

Roman tallied a career-high seven RBI, going 3-for-4 from the plate in a 26-4 win over Utica College in Game 1 of the doubleheader on Sunday.

Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday when it will travel to Oswego State for non-conference action.
