St. John Fisher College’s Taylor Youngkrans (Oneida/Oneida) of the women’s track and field team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 14.

Youngkrans cruised to a victory in the weight throw in a school-record 15.87 meter throw, which was also an ECAC qualifying mark. 

The senior thrower, who set the school-record on December 6 at the Cornell Relays, eclipsed her own record once in the meet, only to come back and re-break the record later in the day.

Fisher has nearly a month layoff until its next meet, which will be January 9 at Cornell University.
