Nathan Nigolian (Westhill/Syracuse) of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 7, 2014.

Nigolian registered two second-half touchdowns to help lift No. 9 Fisher to a 36-14 opening day win over visiting Otterbein University on Saturday.  The senior wideout finished the game with a game-high eight catches for 148 yards.

Following a safety recorded by the Fisher defense, quarterback Tyler Fenti connected with Nigolian on the ensuing play for a 45-yard score to put Fisher up 22-14.

The duo hooked up once again late in the third quarter for a 46-yard touchdown to complete the Cardinals scoring.

The Cardinals (1-0) return to action in two weeks at 6 p.m. when they will travel to the College at Brockport for Courage Bowl X - a game dedicated to the children of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
