Keegan Ryan (Beekmantown/Plattsburgh) of the men’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 7.
The sophomore totaled 50 points (16.7 points per game) over the three Wendy’s College Classic games to lead Fisher to a 2-1 week.
Ryan recorded double-doubles in the first two games on Wednesday and Friday, tallying 17 points and matching his career-high 10 boards against sixth-seeded Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as 16 points and another 10 rebounds against No. 2 seed SUNY Geneseo, respectively.
In the Wendy’s game on Saturday, the Plattsburgh native recorded another 17 points to pace the Cardinals’ to a 61–56 victory over University of Rochester that sealed third-place for Fisher.
Ryan leads Fisher in numerous categories for the season, including points (85), field goal percentage (62.7%), free throws made (21), free throws attempts (31) and rebounds (38).
The Cardinals continue non-conference play at 2 p.m. Saturday against host Buffalo State College.
