David Haseley (McQuaid/Webster) of the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for action concluding April 27, 2014.

Haseley helped extend Fisher’s winning streak to five games last week with conference wins against Utica College and Nazareth College earning the Cardinals the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Empire 8 Championship in the process.

Haseley, a long stick midfielder, scored his fifth goal of the season on Saturday in Fisher’s 9-8 win at Nazareth.  He also combined to post seven ground balls and three caused turnovers in the two-game span.

The Webster native has tallied seven points on the season, which matches his career-high set in 2012.

Haseley and the rest of the men’s lacrosse team will return to the fold at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Growney Stadium in a rematch against the Nazareth College Golden Flyers in the semifinal round of the 2014 Empire 8 Championship.
