St. John Fisher University Athletics

Jeff Wester (Livonia, Livonia) of the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Cardinals to a 2-0 week.

The team's leader in points this season with 31 paced the Cardinals offense with six points on two goals and four assists in a 20-2 win over Houghton College on Wednesday.  He also scooped up one ground ball.

Wester was at it again on Saturday in Fisher’s 5-4 win over Geneseo.  The senior attack notched two goals and one assists, while tallying a game-high five ground balls.

Fisher is on the road twice this week, with the first game coming at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alfred.  The Cardinals will also travel to Alfred University on Saturday for a 1 p.m contest.
