Andrew Rosso (Kirkville/East Syracuse-Minoa) of the men’s lacrosse team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his on-field performances for the week ending April 29th, 2018.
Rosso and the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse team finished this past week 1-0 and finished up the regular season with four straight wins, locking up the number two seed in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.
The senior tallied four goals and three assists in the Fisher 21-5 win over Elmira on Saturday afternoon. He currently is tied for the team-lead in goals with 38, while leading the Cardinals with 58 points and 82 shots on goal.
On April 18, the Kirkville, N.Y. native became the 7thstudent-athlete in men’s lacrosse program history to score 100 goals in his career.
The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday, when they host the number three seeded Alfred in the semi-finals of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament at 4 p.m.
