St. John Fisher College’s Jill Zerrillo (Brewerton/Paul V. Moore) of the women’s lacrosse team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 23, 2014.

Zerrillo did all she could to keep nationally-ranked Fisher’s record unblemished in its only game of the week, but the Cardinals were unable to do so, suffering their first loss of the season at Ithaca, 9-7.

The senior midfielder scored two goals and scooped up a ground ball in the loss. She also recorded one draw control and a caused turnover.

Fisher (5-1) will return to action and look to get back to its winning ways at 5 p.m. on Tuesday against SUNY Fredonia.
