St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Taylor Gallup (Morrisville-Eaton/Morrisville) of the women’s cross country team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 13, 2011.

Gallup was the Cardinals’ highest placing women’s runner at Saturday’s NCAA Atlantic Regionals at St. Lawrence University after finishing 143^rd out of 256 runners. The sophomore ended the event with an average mile time of 6:50 and finished the six-kilometer course with a total time of 25:25.2.

Gallup has now finished as the Cardinals’ top runner in four meets this season after also leading Fisher at the Houghton Short Course Invite, the Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational and the Empire 8 Championship.

The event was the last of the season for the women’s side of the Fisher Cross Country team who will return to action next fall.
