St. John Fisher College has named Kyle Denhoff (Penfield/Penfield) of the men’s lacrosse team as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 14, 2010.

In a 2-0 week for the Cardinals, Denhoff recorded seven goals, one assist and five ground balls.

On Wednesday, Denhoff’s goal 12 seconds into overtime secured the 10-9 victory over Lycoming for Fisher. The midfielder finished with three goals and one assist for a team-best four points. He also scooped up three ground balls in the contest.

On Saturday, Denhoff sparked the Cardinals with four first-half goals, as Fisher went on to defeat visiting Clarkson University 12-8. He also recorded two ground balls and caused one turnover.

The sophomore ranks first on the team in goals (13) and points (18). He has recorded seven ground balls through four games.

The Cardinals (4-0) return to action as they host SUNY Brockport at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
