St. John Fisher College has named #Dan Serafine# of the men’s lacrosse team as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 7, 2010.

Fisher opened its season 2-0 on the road, picking up a 12-8 win over York College before moving on to cruise past up-and-comer Milwaukee School of Engineering, 25-4.

Serafine stepped up to the starting position between the pipes against York College in Greensboro, North Carolina on Wednesday, playing all 60 minutes and picking up his first win of the season. The senior goalkeeper recorded 16 saves and allowed only eight goals.
 
In the Cardinals’ 25-4 rout of MSOE at Johns Hopkins University on Friday, Serafine saw 22 minutes in goal, recording five saves and allowing only one goal.

For the season, Serafine is 1-0 overall, with 21 saves, a .700 save percentage, and a 6.59 goals against average.

The Cardinals return to action as they travel to Williamsport, Pa. to take on the Lycoming College Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
