2018: Appeared in eight games for the Cardinals... Recorded 52 tackles including a double digit 11 tackle game against Ithaca College on 9/22/2018... Nelson's uncharacteristic 52 tackles from a corner placed him 19th in the conference for tackles per game... Led the team with 3 interceptions including his biggest performance of the year at Alfred University on 11/03/2018, where he had two interceptions including an interception for touchdown... Recorded 11 passes defended in conference play, which was second in the Empire 8... Nelson's all-conference effort helped the Cardinals to the top passing defense in the Empire 8 as the Cardinals allowed 192.3 yards through the air over nine games... Named Male Athlete of the Week at Fisher for the week of 11/5/2018..Named to the All-Empire 8 Second Team for the second straight season.

In his career, Nelson will go down as one of the best to play the position...His pair of seasons with five interceptions places him two times in the single season record books at tied for sixth...Nelson's career 13 interceptions places him third in school history for interceptions in a career. 

2017:  Appeared in nine games for the Cardinals .. Led the team with a Career Tying Five interceptions .. Also recorded 32 total tackles, with 13 passes defended, and one forced fumble ... Named to the All-Empire 8 Second Team.

2016: Appeared in eight games for the Cardinals … Intercepted a team-high five passes, which was second-most in the conference … Recorded eight total tackles … Named the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week and the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 09/19.
