2019: Played in nine gams for the Cardinals ... Led the team in tackles in solo tackles (43) and total tackles (87) ... Ranked sixth in the conference in total tackles, missing one game ... Wheeler got to the QB often with seven pass breakups ... Recorded six and half sacks on the year ... Had a season high of 13 tackles against Alfred on November 16th and three sacks against Buffalo State on September 7th ... Earned Second Team All-Conference. 

2018: Appeared in nine games for the Cardinals... Led the team in solo tackles (28) along with assists (63) in which his total tackles (91) ranked him third in the conference for tackles per game...Led the team in tackles for loss (15.5), where he was ranked first in the conference for tackles per game...Wheelers four and half sacks led the team and placed him eighth in the conference for sacks per game...Wheelers athleticism allowed him to drop back and help the pass defense where he intercepted a pass against The College at Brockport on 9/29/2018...Wheeler's contribution in the turnover battle was crucial as he forced three fumbles and recovered two... Started the season off right as arguably his best performances were the first two games against Washington Jefferson and Ithaca College, where he went back to back games with 15 total tackles...Finished the season off even better where he had nine tackles and two tackles for loss against Buffalo State... In the final game he also added a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries, in which he returned the fumble 21 yards for a Fisher touchdown...Wheeler's gutsy performance against Buffalo State led to him being named the Empire 8 defensive player of the week, as well as D3 Football.com's team of the week.
