Men's Soccer Falls To U of R

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's soccer team fell to the University of Rochester on Wednesday evening in a 2-0 final at Edwin Fauver Stadium. The Cardinals dropped to 1-2-1 with the result.

How It Happened

The Cardinals generated opportunities throughout the match, finishing with nine shots and earning eight corner kicks. Fisher's offense was able to get into attacking position at a consistent rate, but struggled to turn that pressure into quality chances, putting only three of their nine attempts on goal.

Fisher's defense was tested frequently as they faced 18 shots overall. Goalkeeper Parker Stusek helped keep the team within reach with seven saves, but Rochester was able to break through twice. Despite the pressure, Fisher maintained disciplined defense, finishing the game without a yellow or red card.

The Cardinals continued to push for a response, logging eight corner kicks to create chances. Three shots on goal were kept out, and the Cardinals finished the contest scoreless in a 2-0 loss.
