PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Junior Landon Wertz recorded a massive personal best as the St. John Fisher men's cross country team competed in the Hamilton Short Course Invite (5k) on Saturday. The Cardinals placed seventh out of 11 NCAA Division III teams.
Wertz placed 15th at 16:25.1, 29 seconds faster than his previous top 5k time (16:54.40), which he recorded at last year's Hamilton Short Course Invite. His time on Saturday marked the eighth-best time on the Cardinals' all-time performance list for the Hamilton Course.
