PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Three St. John Fisher men's track and field athletes won titles as the Cardinals placed as a team with 105 points in the 2026 Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Championships. The meet took place at St. John Fisher's Polisseni Track & Field Complex on Friday and Saturday.
SUNY Geneseo, which amassed 282 points, won the Empire 8 team title for the second year in a row. SUNY Brockport placed second with 214 points.
St. John Fisher senior thrower Brandon Kaplan won his third consecutive E8 title in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.57 meters. He currently ranks No. 6 nationally in the event.
Sophomore thrower Daniel Davis defended his Empire 8 championship in the discus throw, recording a first-place toss of 43.94 meters. He won last year's event with a throw of 40.43 meters.
Junior distance runner Jace Stuart won his first career E8 title in the 1,500-meter run. He clocked a time of 3:56.81, the second-best mark in school history and just a few seconds shy of James Felice's program record.

Sophomore Trystan Biller placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.26 seconds.

Senior Ethan Fox placed third in the 100-meter run with a time of 11.02 seconds.

Fox also placed second in the 200-meter run with a time of 21.95 seconds.

Junior Hayden Penna and sophomore Oren Welch placed second and third, respectively, in the pole vault. Penna recorded a mark of 4.84 meters, and Welch posted a mark of 4.69 meters.
