CORTLAND, N.Y. – A pair of program records fell as the St. John Fisher men's outdoor track and field team competed in the SUNY Cortland Classic over the weekend.
Gabriel Cromer shattered his own school record in the 200-meter run with a time of 21.72 seconds, which placed him fifth in the event. The sophomore set the previous record last weekend in the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic with a time of 21.85 seconds.
The Cardinals' 4x100 team of Corinthian Reed, Elijah Burnley, Ethan Fox and Cromer had the other program record-setting performance. The group placed second in the event with a time of 41.90 seconds.

Track Highlights

Junior Jace Stuart won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:25.80.

Sophomore Trystan Biller took third place in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.23 seconds.

Sophomore Michael Prentice clocked a time of 50.67 seconds in the 400-meter run, taking fifth place in the event.

Freshman Mason Wagner took second place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.56 seconds.
Field Highlights

Senior Brandon Kaplan had a season-best performance in the hammer throw on Friday, recording a first-place toss of 59.47. He now ranks No. 8 on the Division III performance list for the event.

Sophomore Oren Welch won the pole vault event with a mark of 4.65 meters, which currently ranks 47th in Division III this season.

Sophomore Brandon Keefe placed second in the javelin throw with a hurl of 41.23 meters.
Men's Decathlon

Freshman London Premo placed third in the men's decathlon with an overall score of 5,286, good for third on the program's top-five list. He placed first in the event's discus throw (30.74 meters), second in its 1,500-meter run (5:04.81) and 110-meter hurdles (16.12 seconds) events and third in its long jump (6.06 meters) and shot put (10.45 meters) events.
