Stuart Breaks School Record In Mile On Day 2 Of Atlantic Regional Indoor Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Junior distance runner Jace Stuart's strong performance in the mile headlined the second day of the All-Atlantic Region Conference Championships for the St. John Fisher men's track and field team. 

Stuart broke the program's indoor record and earned a spot on the podium with his time of 4:15.16. James Felice's time of 4:15.41 had stood as Fisher's indoor mile record since February 2018. 

The Cardinals ended the two-day meet tied for 19th place with 12 points. Rowan claimed the team title with 118 points, while SUNY Geneseo finished second with 69.

The Cardinals' national qualifiers will compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, March 13-14.
