PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher freshman Daniel Visha has been named SUNYAC Wrestling Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. 

Visha, the first Fisher wrestler to earn SUNYAC weekly honors this season, battled his way to a fifth-place finish in the John Summa Invite on Saturday at Baldwin Wallace University. He claimed three of his first four matches, including one by fall in 59 seconds over Thiel's Aidan Carter, to reach the fourth-place match.

Visha was one of six wrestlers to place in the tournament for the Cardinals, who took eighth in the team race with 93.5 points. 

The Cardinals return to action on Friday with a home dual against SUNY Brockport.
