Men's Ice Hockey Drops 2-1 Decision To Nazareth

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's ice hockey team fell 2-1 in a hard-fought contest against East Avenue rival Nazareth University on Saturday night at the Tim Horton's Iceplex. The Cardinals dropped to 9-13-0 (3-11-0 UCHC) while the Golden Flyers improved to 12-6-3 (6-5-1 UCHC).

How it Happen

Just over a minute into the second period, the Cardinals opened the scoring as Carter Cwiklinki and Ian Emery set up James Evans for the score.

The Golden Flyers responded late in the second, tying the game with less than two minutes remaining when Blake Frost found the back of the net.

Nazareth sealed the victory six minutes into the final period on a goal by Charles Ross.

Game Notes

  • Evans scored for the second straight game.

  • Emery recorded an assist for the second consecutive game.

  • Grover turned aside 32 shots, marking his fourth 30-save performance of the season.
