NEW HAVEN, C.T. – The St. John Fisher University women's ice hockey team fell 4-1 to Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon in its last regular-season road game of the year, settling for a weekend split. The Cardinals dropped to 10-12-1 (5-6-1 UCHC) while the Falcons improved to 15-7-1 (8-4-0 UCHC).
How it Happened
The Falcons opened the scoring 11 minutes into the first period when Molly Martin found the back of the net.
Just under the midway point of the second period, the Falcons doubled their lead as Kayla Clark added a goal to make it 2-0.
Kalyan Reynolda pushed the advantage to three about 30 seconds into the final period, firing home the Falcon's third goal of the game. Seven minutes later, the Cardinals responded to cut the deficit to 3-1. Sophie Grant and Ellie Prantner connected to set up Cecelia Stewart, who buried the chance.
Blayne Dussold sealed the victorious outcome for the Falcons with less than two minutes to go, restoring the three-goal cushion with a late tally.
