PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The No. 20 Ithaca field hockey team rode three first-quarter goals to a 5-0 victory over St. John Fisher on Saturday at Growney Stadium. The Cardinals fell to 0-2 on the young season, while Ithaca improved to 3-1.
How It Happened

The Bombers came out strong with Sadie Ruiz finding the back of the net in the first three minutes of the game. Audrey McMahon made the score 2-0 about four minutes later, and Brooke Snider scored the Bombers' third goal of the first quarter at the 12:37 mark.

Ithaca added two more to its lead in the second half as Toni Ierardi (third quarter) and Payton Yahner found the back of the net.

The Cardinals fired off just two shots (both on goal) to Ithaca's 32 (22 on goal) in the contest.

Freshman goalkeeper Teagan Rosencranse made 13 saves. Sophomore Morgan Parrinello, who entered the contest in the second half, stopped four shots.

The Cardinals had former players from the classes of 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025 in attendance. The athletics department recognized the group during a halftime ceremony.
