Field Hockey Blanks Oswego For First Win Of 2025 Season

OSWEGO, N.Y. – Sophomores Sam Current and Holly Stuart scored their first goals of the season to give the St. John Fisher field hockey team (1-2) a 2-0 shutout road victory over SUNY Oswego (1-3) on Wednesday.

How It Happened

  • The Cardinals opened the scoring just more than three minutes in when Current found the back of the net for her second collegiate goal on a feed from sophomore Jordan Kauffman

  • The score stayed 1-0 until the Cardinals secured the victory with their second tally of the game in the fourth quarter. Kauffman also had the assist on that goal, that time connecting with Stuart.

  • The Cardinals had control from start to finish, limiting Oswego to just three shots (two on goal). Fisher set season highs in total shots (32) and shots on goal (20).

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Parrinello made two saves in her first start of the season.

Game Notes

  • Kauffman tallied her first two collegiate assists, while Stuart scored her first collegiate goal.

  • Parrinello recorded her first career shutout and her fourth career victory in net.

  • The Cardinals won their 11th consecutive game against Oswego.
