OSWEGO, N.Y. – Sophomores Sam Current and Holly Stuart scored their first goals of the season to give the St. John Fisher field hockey team (1-2) a 2-0 shutout road victory over SUNY Oswego (1-3) on Wednesday.

The Cardinals opened the scoring just more than three minutes in when Current found the back of the net for her second collegiate goal on a feed from sophomore Jordan Kauffman.

The score stayed 1-0 until the Cardinals secured the victory with their second tally of the game in the fourth quarter. Kauffman also had the assist on that goal, that time connecting with Stuart.

The Cardinals had control from start to finish, limiting Oswego to just three shots (two on goal). Fisher set season highs in total shots (32) and shots on goal (20).

Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Parrinello made two saves in her first start of the season.
