Four Represent Fisher On 2025 CSC Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Team

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher student-athletes Caitlin Voloshen (track and field), Ciarra Franz (track and field), Sophia Leach (track and field) and Olivia Grinnell (cross country) have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Team. 

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, track and field and cross country student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 grade-point average. Additionally, track and field athletes must have a regional ranking within the top 50 in a single indoor or outdoor event. Cross country athletes are required to have a top 50 individual performance in their respective NCAA Regional races.

Voloshen, a pharmacy student, has maintained a 3.91 grade-point average through her junior year. She ranked ninth in the Niagara Region in the 800-meter run (outdoor) with a personal best time of 2:15.75 set in the Cardinal Classic and held the fourth-best indoor mile (indoor) time in the region at 4:59.77. 

A nursing major, Franz finished her time at St. John Fisher with a 3.66 grade-point average. A qualifier for the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field championships, Franz ranked third in the Niagara Region in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14:13, a school record set in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships in May. In the Empire 8 Indoor Championships in February, she set a school and conference record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.82, the fifth-best mark in the region. 

Leach has a 3.87 grade-point average while studying psychology through her sophomore year. She ranked 19th in the region in the 400-meter hurdles event with a time of 1:06.93.

Grinnell, who studies nursing, has maintained a 3.64 grade-point average through her junior year. She placed 35th in the 6k in the Niagara Regional race with a time of 23:31.2.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
