COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The St. John Fisher wrestling team opened the 2025-26 season with a sixth-place finish (85 team points) in the 13-team Racich Rumble at Ursinus College.
Senior Trevor Sheehan led the Cardinals with a second-place finish in the 165-pound bracket. Fisher had four other wrestlers place, including senior Carl Santariello (fifth, 125), sophomore Trevor Bishop (fourth, 149), junior Paul Lichter (third, 157) and junior Braydon Vandenberg (third, 197).
On his way to second place at 165 pounds, Sheehan earned two wins by technical fall and one via pinfall.
Vandenberg won each of his four matches via pinfall, including one in 10 seconds and another in 25 seconds. His lone loss came 10-6 by decision.
Lichter had two technical fall victories and a major decision win en route to third place in his weight class.
