PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher junior Sarah Burgess has been named Empire 8 Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. 

Burgess placed first in the Nazareth Fall Invite, turning in a 10-over 82 on Sunday and an eight-over 80 on Monday to finish +18 (162). The Cardinals carded a 339 on Sunday and a 343 on Sunday en route to a first-place team finish. 

Burgess has been named E8 Women's Golfer of the Week five times since the start of last season.
