PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team recorded its third consecutive victory on Saturday evening with a 3-0 win over the Russell Sage Gators at Growney Stadium.

The Cardinals face the Golden Eagles next Saturday, Oct. 11, at Growney Stadium.

How It Happened

Senior forward Brooklyn Drago scored her second goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 35th minute to begin the scoring. The Cardinals controlled possession from the jump, allowing Sage to attempt just one shot in the first 45 minutes and three total for the game.

Junior midfielder Francesca Logrippo put Fisher ahead 2-0 in the 78th minute with her first goal of the year. About eight minutes later, sophomore forward Emily Woolingham tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick to make the score 3-0.

St. John Fisher senior goalkeeper Avery Byrnes made two saves in the shutout victory.
