Women's Volleyball Wins 16th Match In A Row Friday

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team opened Empire 8 Conference play on Friday night at the Manning and Napier Varsity Gym in the fashion it has become accustomed to this season: dominating its opponent.

The Cardinals (16-1, 1-0 Empire 8) recorded their 16th consecutive victory with another sweep – their eighth in a row and 12th overall – over SUNY Brockport (7-7, 0-1 Empire 8). With 10 matches yet to play, Fisher has already tied the third-best mark in program history for sweeps in a season during the rally scoring era (2001-present).
