GENESEO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team swept SUNY Geneseo to push its winning streak to 17 matches on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals (17-1, 2-0 Empire 8) have swept eight consecutive opponents and 13 overall this season, the third most by a team in a season during the rally scoring era (2001-present).
How It Happened
Junior outside hitter Kaylene Noble slammed seven kills while hitting .357 as the Cardinals snuck past Geneseo 25-22 in the first set. Fisher scored three of the final four points – two via Noble kills – to secure the win.
Noble continued to dominate the Knights in the second set, amassing six kills on 11 attempts for a .545 hitting percentage. The Cardinals ended the 25-12 victory on an 11-2 run, during which freshman Kalyna Dannenberg tallied three kills.
The Cardinals used a 7-1 run to take a 20-12 lead in the third set, which they ultimately won 25-20. Junior Ana Gutman recorded four of her seven total kills in the frame while hitting .500.

Noble, who accounted for 18.5 points, slammed 18 kills and finished with a .341 hitting percentage. She's hit over .300 in all but seven of Fisher's 18 matches this season.
