PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher field hockey team fell 3-0 to East Avenue rival Nazareth on Wednesday night at Growney Stadium.
The Cardinals dropped to 7-7 overall (5-3 Empire 8), and Nazareth improved to 11-4 overall (7-1 Empire 8). Fisher currently holds the No. 4 seed for the E8 Tournament with two regular-season contests remaining.
How It Happened
Nazareth scored all three of its goals in the first half, with Juliana Dimao striking first about three minutes into the contest. Michaela Cushman accounted for both of the Golden Flyers' tallies in the second quarter.
The Cardinals managed just seven shots to Nazareth's 15. The Golden Flyers put 10 of those attempts on target.
St. John Fisher sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Parrinello made seven saves.
