PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's tennis team's 2025 season came to an end on Tuesday with a 4-2 loss to Alfred University in the first round of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.
The No. 5-seeded Saxons (11-4 overall) topped the No. 4-seeded Cardinals (5-5 overall) in doubles and won three singles matches. Alfred will face top-seeded Hartwick (11-2) on Friday in Oneonta in the semifinals.
Senior Lilly Renzi and freshman Adriana Colafranceschi recorded Fisher's singles victories. Renzi (5-5) topped Alina Zabihailo 7-5 twice in first singles, and Colafranceschi (4-6) beat Elizabeth Madsen 6-0 twice in second singles.
Junior Lily Miller (8-0) and Alyssa Seegert went unfinished in third singles.
