Women's Tennis Beats Concordia Chicago, Falls To Southern New Hampshire Monday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. John Fisher women's tennis team (6-6 overall) opened its spring break trip with a 6-1 win over Concordia Chicago and a 7-0 loss to Southern New Hampshire on Monday. 

Match 1: St. John Fisher 6, Concordia Chicago 1

The Cardinals won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches in a 6-1 victory over Concordia Chicago to start the day. 

Sophomore Sydney Emerson and junior Isabella Busch claimed their first win as a tandem, beating Hannah Upole and Kathleen Castillo 6-3. Junior Anna Exford and freshman Keri Lambert also won for the first time as partners, recording a 6-4 victory over Courtneye Schneider and Aura Cortez-Cali to secure the doubles point for the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals won five straight doubles matches after Concordia Chicago's Amelia Engelman claimed the first one. Exford recorded her seventh singles win of the season, while Busch earned her sixth and Kopolow claimed her fifth. Emerson and fellow sophomore Sara Martin notched their first collegiate singles victories.
