ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's tennis team ended its fall regular season with a 6-1 loss to Hartwick on Saturday at the Midtown Athletic Club.
The Cardinals, now 5-4 overall (5-3 Empire 8), have the No. 4 seed for the Empire 8 Conference tournament and will host No. 5 Alfred in the first round at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartwick (11-2, 8-0 Empire 8) owns the top seed for the tournament and will play Fisher or Alfred in the semifinals on Friday
Junior Lily Miller had the lone Fisher win in the dual match. She improved her singles record to 8-0 with a two-set (6-2, 6-1) win over Lily Vanuga.
The Cardinals honored their four seniors – Tiana Buttino, Eliana Kelly, Paige Kopolow and Lilly Renzi – during a ceremony before the match.
