Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 To Brockport

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's soccer team fell 1-0 to SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals dropped to 2-8-2 (2-3-2 Empire 8), while the Golden Eagles moved to 6-4-2 overall (3-2-2 Empire 8). 

How It Happened

  • The match remained scoreless through the first half as both sides traded chances. Brockport broke through in the 55th minute when Jadin Lyle scored what proved to be the game-winner.

  • Fisher managed seven total shots, putting two on goal, and earned a pair of corner kicks in the second half. Freshmen Jeremiah Strader and Liam Furmansky each registered shots on target for the Cardinals.

  • Freshman goalkeeper Parker Stusek made five saves. 

Game Notes

  • Stusek has recorded 50 saves, the fourth most in the Empire 8, through 10 starts this season.
