GENESEO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University field hockey team fell 4-0 to No. 24 SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday night.

The Cardinals fell to 4-4 overall (2-1 Empire 8), while the nationally ranked Knights moved to 9-1(4-0 Empire 8).

How it Happened

Just six minutes into the opening quarter, Geneseo's Ella Greico found the ball in the circle and lifted it into the goal to open the scoring.

Following a scoreless second quarter, Geneseo struck again just over five minutes into the third as Greico scored her second of the game.

With just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter, Geneseo earned a penalty stroke opportunity. Shannon Cunnigham stepped up and put the shot past Fisher sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Parrinello for Geneseo's third goal of the game.

In the final five minutes, Greico delivered once more, scoring her third goal of the game to put Geneseo ahead by four.
