The Cardinals improved to 6-4 overall with the 85-52 victory in their first Empire 8 Conference game of the season. Alfred, 6-5 overall, dropped to 0-2 in conference play.

Fisher, which never trailed, led by nine (20-11) at the end of the first quarter and continued building a comfortable cushion in the second quarter en route to a 16-point halftime lead (43-27). Moravec had 11 points and nine rebounds in the first half, while fellow senior guard Sidney Tomasso led the way with 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting (3 of 5 from three).

The Cardinals closed the third quarter on a 13-4 run and led by 24 points, 69-54 entering the fourth. They had their largest lead of the night – 36 points – in the last minute of the final quarter.

Fisher set season highs in points (85), field goals made (37), rebounds (58) and assists (23) while allowing a season-low 52 points in the contest. The Cardinals outscored the Saxons 50-22 in the paint, 18-4 off turnovers and scored 21 points on a season-best 22 offensive rebounds.

Moravec, who scored 11 points in each half, shot 9 of 16 overall, 2 of 4 from three and 2 of 4 from the foul line. She set career-highs in assists (8) and rebounds (12).

One of the Empire 8's leading scorers so far this season, Tomasso finished with 23 points and shot 10 of 19 overall (3 of 7 from three) in her fourth 20-plus point performance of the season. She also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.

Junior guard Presleigh Brunner chipped in 16 points on 8 of 13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds, matching her career high. She has scored at least 16 points in each of Fisher's last four games.
