NEW YORK, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's volleyball team were on the road to take on New York University. The Cardinals fell behind 2-0 and despite forcing a fifth set, the team fell by a final of 3-2.
After being down 2-0 Fisher began their comeback in the third. Three errors by NYU gave the Cardinals a lead they did not relinquish. Despite runs to tie the game, points by

Casey Jackson and
Gabe La Robardiere helped the team maintain their advantage. Jackson secured the set with a kill. In the fourth frame, Fisher trailed by two points until they were down 18-16. A handful of errors and a kill by
Ian Rauh put the Cardinals in front, 21-18. Fisher held on to secure the set 25-20 and the match at 2-2. In the fifth and final set, NYU jumped out to an early lead that the Cardinals could not overcome and they dropped the match, 3-2.
Up next for Fisher is season finale doubleheader. They travel to SUNY Paltz to take on the Hawks and Russell Sage College on Saturday, April 6. The first game is slated to start at 3 p.m.
