PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's lacrosse team were at home on Saturday to take on Russell Sage College. The Cardinals celebrated senior day and honored their 11 seniors prior to the game.

Jake Slowinski,
Ben Hammond, and Anthony Ametrano, were all thanked for everything they have done for the program.
With the win over the Gators, the Cardinals clinch a spot in the Empire 8 Conference Championship but also secured the no. 1 seed heading into the post-season.
Fisher was dominant on both sides of the ball, scoring 20 unanswered goals before the Gators converted for their only goal of the day. In the first quarter, Kemmis, Leuze,
Keaton Piconi and
Sean Donaldson recorded goals to take a 4-0 lead. It was much of the same in the second, as Braeden McNeil, Salit and two by
Brady Mason had the team ahead 8-0 at the half.
In the second half the offense actually picked up for the Cardinals. Kemmis added three to his count, while Leuze, Salit and Donaldson all contributed their second of the day.
Colin Blakeslee joined the party with his first goal. In the fourth quarter, Fisher scored eight goals by eight different goal scorers and the Cardinals walked away with an impressive 23-1 win.
Donaldson impressed with two goals and four assists, while adding three ground balls. Kemmis finished the game with four goals and five ground balls, while five other Cardinals had two goals apiece.
