ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's tennis team were on the road on Saturday to take on Nazareth University. The contest came down to the final match, but the Cardinals were unable to secure the win, falling by a final score of 5-4.
In the doubles matches, the duo of
Tyler Hernandez and
Will Chubb earned an 8-6 win. In the singles it was Hernandez and Chubb that kicked things off with wins. Hernandez did so by winning the first set 6-3 and then the second 7-6, with a 7-4 tiebreaker. Chubb won handily, taking both sets 6-2. Ryan Willson secured the fourth win for Fisher, taking the first frame 6-4 and the second set 6-2.
Up next for the Cardinals is road matchup against Oswego State on Friday, April 5. The contest is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
