MADISON, N.J. – The St. John Fisher University men's volleyball team were on the road to take on Cairn University and Drew University. The Cardinals collected two wins, knocking off the Highlanders, 3-1 before defeating the Rangers 3-0.

Fisher 3 – Cairn 1 (25-16, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15)
The Cardinals jumped ahead 7-5 in the first set, but Cairn was consistently fighting back. It wasn't until a 6-1 run by Fisher that they were able to pull away from the opposition and secure a 25-16. The second set was competitive as neither team pulled away. With the score 21-20, the Cardinals were able to string together a 4-1 run to secure the set and 2-0 advantage. After dropping the third set, Fisher looked to bounce back in the fourth frame to claim the victory. With the two teams going back-and-forth, Fisher recorded seven unanswered points and rode that momentum to a 25-15 set win and 3-1 match win.

Tyler Cohen and Sonepith Keoviengsamay led the way with nine kills each. Cohen added seven digs and three service aces. Jimmy Roberts recorded six kills on a .625 hitting percentage. Evan Ingerick led the team in distributing with 31 assists.

The Cardinals jumped out to an early 7-3 lead and rode that early advantage to a 25-18 opening set win. In the second set, an early 6-0 run by Fisher helped them establish momentum with a 12-6 lead. Despite a late push by Drew, Fisher secured the final point and the set. In the final frame, the Cardinals jumped ahead quickly, taking a 8-1 lead to start. The team kept the pressure up and used a variety of runs to go in front 21-9 and eventually 25-13 for a set and match win.
